Surface Mounted or Ceiling Suspended 

There are two ways in which to apply these fittings to your installation. The first is to surface mount the light onto any wall or ceiling. Simply use the fixings, which are included, to attach the batten to the surface at each end. We always recommend using an electrician to install the light as this will need to be wired to the mains using the pre wired cable within the fitting.   The second option you have is to add a suspension kit to the Batten and install the light, so it suspends from the ceiling. This is very effective in offices and households where you want the light hanging over your kitchen worktop, as seen in the example below.
